Open Citations and Open Scholarly Metadata 2020

On September 9, 2020 at 16-00, the Workshop on Open Citations and Open Scholarly Metadata 2020 will begin. Due to the COVID-19 international situation, WOOC 2020 will be an online event:

This 3-hour online event will appeal to researchers, scholarly publishers, funders, policy makers, and opening citations advocates, interested in the creation, reuse, and improvement, of open citation data and open scholarly metadata.

The workshop program includes two contributions by Ukrainian researchers:

Serhii Nazarovets, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, will present a report “Using Crossref Citation Data for Measuring Impact in the Humanities” [video].

Senior Researcher at the Institute of Physics of Condensed Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olesya Mryglod (together with Serhii Nazarovets) will present the report “Open Scholarly Metadata: formalization is required” [video].

As a reminder, Nataliia Kaliuzhna, a senior researcher at the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, took an active part in last year’s 1st workshop in Bologna (Italy) and presented the report “ScientoMiner ICR – the Gephi plugin for importing scholarly citations data from Crossref services” [link].
