REUSABILITY OF RESEARCH INFORMATION
Workshop on FAIR Research Information in Open Infrastructures

The State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL) jointly with German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB) organized a workshop on Reusability of Research Information which was held virtually on December 8th 2020.

Around 20 professionals from academia, funders bodies representatives, policymakers and librarians came together to identify and evaluate approaches which allow the widest reuse possible of the sufficiently described research information. Discussion centered around what (re)usability means for research information, the role of data provenance, trust and importance of persistent identifiers. The input talk was delivered by Stephanie van de Sandt – researcher and doctoral student from CERN.

The special guests were Yuliia Bezvershenko – Director-General of the Directorate on Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Olga Polotska – director of National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

Workshop on (re)usibility of research information is a third workshop in the series “FAIR Research Information in Open Infrastructure” and aims at identifying the key criteria and principles which research Information have to inhabit in order to be FAIR. These criteria will serve as a base for a road map of research information which may be published.
