The State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and with the support of ORCID, Elsevier, Clarivate Analytics, Bentham Science, 4Science and other international organizations arranged the 1-st international conference “Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2022” (1st International Conference “Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2022” (dntb.gov.ua). The conference will take place on October 27-28, 2022 in Kyiv and due to the security reasons in an online format.

Leading scientists, representatives of state authorities responsible for open access implementation policy, employees in the field of IT technologies, developers of scientific and information platforms and systems, managers and employees of scientific libraries, managers of institutional repositories, publishers of scientific journals, graduate students and young scientists, project managers, heads of business incubators, co-organizers of startups, heads and members of library associations, scientists working on the development of research related to artificial intelligence are welcome to participation.

The main directions of the conference correspond to the key directions of the National Action Plan of the Ministry of Education and Culture “On Approval of the National Action Plan for the Implementation of the Principles of Open Science by 2030”.

The head of the Directorate of Science and Innovation of the European Commission, responsible for the formation of the open access policy, and the chairman of the board of directors of the European Cloud of Open Science EOSC, ensures the implementation of the open access policy, will open the conference. The event will become a platform for exchange the opinion for top scientists and experts in the field of scientometrics, open data and open science.

The conference will be interest to everyone who is engaged in scientific research in the field of development of Open Science and innovations in Ukraine. Based on the results of the conference, a conference resolution will be adopted with relevant recommendations for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for further steps in the development of a road map for the implementation of the latest practices and future development prospects in the field of Open Science in Ukraine according to EU standards.

The registration is open until 19 September.
