Any citizen of Ukraine or another state who has reached the age of 16 can register in the library.
To do this you need to have:

  • a passport or other document certifying proof of identity, with a notation of registration at the place of residence or stay;
  • student card (or graduation book) – for students;
  • a document confirming the right to benefits – for citizens who are legally entitled to benefits.

Recording to the library and issuing a reader’s ticket is carried out at the point of recording and control in the reading room of the SSTL of Ukraine on the 14th floor at: 03680 Kyїv, 180 Antonovycha street; phone (044) 521-93-52.

A reader’s ticket can be reserved remotely on the official site of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine in the section “E-catalog”. To do this, you need to click on the key sign next to the word “Authorization” and complete the form “Registration card of the reader”. After that, you will receive an e-mail message with the number of the reader’s ticket (password), which will allow you to authorize and pre-order publications from the Library’s electronic catalog.

To work in the reading room of the library, you must have an annual plastic ticket (₴ 40) or one-time ticket (₴ 10).
The reader’s ticket gives its owner the right to personal use of the Library and may not be transferred to other persons.
